CA TECHNOLOGIES EARNS STRONG POSITIVE RATING FROM LEADING ANALYST FIRM

It’s with great pleasure that I announce that CA Technologies received a “Strong Positive” rating in the Gartner MarketScope for Project and Portfolio Software Applications*.

This report is an evolution of the 2011 Gartner “MarketScope for Project and Portfolio Management Applications”. Specifically, CA Technologies received a “Strong Positive” rating, the highest rating possible.

According to the report: “There are two main types of PPM software buyers with differing PPM needs looking at products in the market

  • Execution-level PPM customers – Project managers, resource managers, and team members interested in a project and resource management product to manage the tactical details of project execution and, using reporting services, communicate progress and expenditures back to business sponsors and management.
  • Project portfolio-level PPM customers – Business sponsors, steering committees and/or PMOs interested in creating project-related decision frameworks, selecting specific projects based on those frameworks, planning the delivery of those projects or investments, tracking those investments at a high level, and reporting on these activities.”

This is an interesting distinction, and one we are seeing in our customer base as well. Organizations are looking to get the most value out of their PPM solutions, and sometimes they start on that road from different directions. For both scenarios, we feel CA Clarity PPM is a strong choice, and we are extremely pleased with Gartner’s analysis.
